From the book: chapter 9, p. 16-17
"Learning to tell their stories … allowed all to share in their major resource – their collective, collaborative wisdom." (Brown and Duguid, 2000, p. 107)
In an effort to grasp and articulate this collaborative wisdom, I suggest that there are at least five ongoing processes that organizational environments must cultivate. Part of that cultivation is in recognizing and honoring the role that stories play. … These processes include:
• Inviting,
• Tapping and Accessing,
• Integrating,
• Conveying, and
• Catalyzing."
