Business.gov is the official business link to the U.S. Government. It is managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in a partnership with 21 other federal agencies. Business.gov provides a single access point to government services and information to help businesses with their operations.
While working at Touchstone Consulting Group in 2007 and 2008, I was responsible for redesigning and implementing Business.gov. This was a website with multiple applications and design challenges. The client was very satisfied with my work, and I receved a highly positive letter of recommendation from Touchstone Creative Director.
In 2008 Business.gov won two awards. In March, the web site won the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) 2008 Project Management Excellence Award in the category of Delivering Mission Critical Services/Practical Innovations. In April, Business.gov has been awarded the Excellence.Gov Award for best practices in a federal e-government program. "We are proud of the work Business.gov has done to help our nation’s businesses," said Steve Preston, administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
